Sept 27, 2011 On-Line 6 Weeks with Pema Chödrön

I have not had the pleasure to hear Pema Chödrön live, but have read her articles and seen videos of talks that she has given. I find her to be a very grounded, humorous, and pragmatic teacher. She has a unique ability to take hard to comprehend concepts from Buddhist meditation and guide you on how they relate to living a more peaceful, balanceful, easeful life in modern times. She epitomizes a master teacher for me because she teaches from her own experience and has a foot planted firmly in the concepts and how they apply to modern life.

Here is an amazing opportunity to join with a group of people committed to going deeper into the Four Immeasurables, specific meditations meant to support people who did live in monasteries to experience more compassion and balance in their lives. In other words, these meditations weren’t meant for the monks who lived in isolation, but rather for you and me who are living in relationship 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As you proceed with the course, Pema will offer 2 live video conferences so that you can get your questions answered. I don’t know about you, but I often take a weekend workshop with an excellent teacher, only to find myself struggling to integrate what I learned back into my daily routine when I return home. This format gives you the best of the best … you get access to a world-class teacher while you are learning from home, surrounded by those people and circumstances that most require the skills that you will be learning. That to me is actually a much better, much more practical, deal!

THE FREEDOM TO LOVE ONLINE COURSE
